Jacques Villeneuve condemns ‘heartless’ thieves after statue of F1 legend Gilles stolen

has slammed “heartless” thieves after a statue of his father – former racer Gilles Villeneuve – was stolen in Canada.

The bronze monument of ex-Ferrari driver Gilles, who died in 1982, was located outdoors his museum – the Musee Gilles Villeneuves – in Berthierville, .

However his son, 1997 F1 world champion Jacques, introduced on Instagram that the statue is now lacking and condemned these accountable. A reward of £6,700 ($12,000) is being supplied to anybody who finds the statue and returns it.

Villeneuve mentioned: “I can not sleep. How can folks be so heartless? Gilles represented Canada and Quebec on the worldwide stage. There are usually not many like him.
