Solberg handed penalty for drifting on Monaco GP circuit throughout WRC opener

Oliver Solberg has been issued a five-minute penalty for “exhibition driving” on the Monaco Grand Prix circuit’s Fairmont Hairpin on his strategy to parc ferme on the Monte Carlo Rally.

Final 12 months’s WRC2 title runner-up was caught drifting across the well-known flip, which is a part of one of many rally’s street sections. The offence occurred following the conclusion of the ultimate podium on the World Rally Championship curtain raiser for 2025.

In 2022, Sebastien Ogier was handed a reprimand and a €1,500 high-quality for exhibition driving earlier than the Rally Spain podium.
