Norris admits he “wasn’t on the stage” to struggle Verstappen for title at begin of 2024

Lando Norris believes he now has what it takes to win the Components 1 world drivers’ championship regardless of admitting he “positively wasn’t on the stage I wanted to be at” earlier within the season.

Having emerged because the closest challenger to reigning champion Max Verstappen, Norris’ probabilities light after a poor Brazilian Grand Prix noticed him drop from pole to complete sixth.

Verstappen, however, stormed from seventeenth to take the win in Sao Paulo and one other victory at this weekend’s Las Vegas GP will seal a fourth consecutive crown.

Norris has conceded his alternative of claiming his first title has ebbed away and that he accepted that after the poor outing in Sao Paulo.

“Not lots has modified, actually,” he stated.
