Alex Albon withdrawn from Brazil GP after large crash in qualifying

has been withdrawn from the on Sunday.

The driver crashed his automobile within the last stage of qualifying amid moist circumstances at Interlagos.

Regardless of qualifying seventh-fastest, the Williams mechanics had been unable to restore Albon’s smashed up automobile in time for the race at 12:30pm native time.

Williams workforce principal James Vowles mentioned: “It’s a heartbreaking day for the workforce. We’re right here to go racing and no person desires to be on this scenario.

“An important level is that each one the drivers who had incidents in Qualifying are okay, together with Alex and Franco.

“Regardless of one of the best efforts of our hard-working, gifted and resilient workforce, there merely was not sufficient time to restore Alex’s automobile in time for the Grand Prix. It’s a bitter tablet to swallow on the finish of a tricky triple-header, particularly when each drivers confirmed super tempo this morning.

“We are going to give attention to maximising this afternoon with Franco and placing on a present for the unbelievable followers right here in Brazil.”

Albon’s teammate Franco Colapinto will begin in sixteenth place, one spot forward of Max Verstappen.

Lando Norris will begin on pole with Mercedes’ George Russell alongside him on the entrance row.
