Russell says F1 drivers “fed up with entire scenario” after GPDA letter

George Russell has spoken about his frustration with the FIA for not responding to the Grand Prix Drivers’ Affiliation and stated many drivers are “fed up with the entire scenario”.

The GPDA launched a press release concentrating on the FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem following the Brazilian Grand Prix by which it urged the FIA to deal with its members “like adults” and for Ben Sulayem to “contemplate his personal tone and language when speaking to our member drivers, or certainly about them”.

Russell additionally recommended that by not responding to questions on how the cash from fines was getting used it failed to satisfy guarantees made throughout Ben Sulayem’s election marketing campaign in 2021.
